9th Edition

Now Competitive

  • Performance: +1
  • Cost: Unchanged
  • Strategy: +1

Sneaky good option now in the codex due to some big developments in Psychic Awakening and 9th edition core rules. Cult options galore on Helbrutes, you can deliver them wherever you want with Duplicity as an example. Being a vehicle means they can shoot in close combat in addition to being quite capable at both. Finally, they no longer suffer move + shoot penalties making even the heavy options a great choice. Keep in mind the 8 wounds make them great, defensively, when scoring secondaries such as Bring it Down.

Notes

  • Can now move and shoot without penalty
  • Lots of Cult bonuses
  • Can shoot while in close combat
  • All load-out options seem to at least be worth a look
