Now Bad

  • Performance: -1
  • Cost: Unchanged
  • Strategy: -1

Cultists are priced as poorly as Tzaangors but they don’t even do anything. You can take them, and watch them die on the table, or you can just do yourself a favor and leave them on the shelf until smarter heads prevail regarding their point cost. Since you no longer need to fill out detachments for CP, there isn’t really a role for the Cultist to fill in a Thousand Sons army. There’s nothing they get the benefit of and nothing they benefit.

Notes

  • They became playable again at the end of 8th thanks to their points finally being adjusted to the appropriate value - thats gone now
  • No longer have any role within the army due to 9th edition army construction
  • Don’t benefit from any of the new Cults (despite their name)

8th Edition (Chapter Approved 2019)

Overall: 2.7

  • Performance: 3
  • Cost: 4
  • Strategy: 1

Notes

  • Cheap option for filling out Troop requirements for a Battalion
  • Both weapon options have their uses but Autoguns tend to be the more common choice
