One of the units everyone wanted to see gain some help and, with the new vehicle rules, they did. In addition to being able to move and fire without penalty, they gain the ability to shoot within combat. On top of the fact that they can now hide behind Obscure buildings, vehicles are looking like the early winners in the new edition. Despite these, the Predator actually takes a sizable hit to its points despite receiving a break on its hull cost. The core reason behind this is the increased cost for Heavy Bolters (one of the common cost-effective options in 8th). Still, relative to it’s primary competitor (Contemptor Dreadnoughts), they made out pretty good in 9th.
